"Music is fun" - FREDDY XL

Talented, captivating and versatile, Freddy XL is a hip hop artist who may well be on his way to claiming his place in the Hip Hop game.

Khumoetsile Alfred Moleele (aka Freddy XL) was born in Hammanskraal and moved to Pretoria at the age of 7. Freddy started listening to hip hop as a young boy but it wasn't until he was in high school that he really developed his love for the art.

Freddy started out his career at the age of 18 back home in Hammanskraal. He recorded his first few singles with fellow schoolmate Kid Fresh, the duo was called Paper boys, it didn't last very long. Freddy went on to record tracks with a couple more friends. It wasn’t until few songs that Freddy joined his current stable Quick Cash Intrudar entertainment along with fellow rapper Young B, where he’s recorded a bunch of songs with fellow artists Young B, Luv King, Ghost, Global and O.T. Freddy XL, Luv King and Young B had their 1^st radio single together called “Hands in the air” which has gotten a good response from the people in their home town. Freddy XL has recently dropped his 1^st single from his upcoming mixtape Gold Min’ called Precious Gold featuring Global and Luv King which has been getting a great response from on social networks.

You can find Freddy in the studio, chilling with friends or at home writing music. “I love music, listening to it, making it, everything about it. Music is fun”

Which artists inspire Freddy XL? He says he draws most of his inspiration from different artists, the likes of Andre 3000, Ab-Soul, Reason, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Jhene Aiko, Burna Boy and many more. “Good music in general really inspires me, I just want to make the best music that I can, music that will reach and touch people all over the world and inspire them, I want to make good timeless music.” “If you cant make music that will touch people then there’s really no point in making music at all” Freddy XL is new in the industry but it is clear that he takes what he does seriously and he has his eye set on being one of hip hop’s greats.
